Basic Eligibility for DREAMS Scholarship
To be eligible for a DREAMS Scholarship award students must:
- Meet U.S. citizenship or eligible non-citizen requirements;
- Be a legal resident of Georgia;
- Be enrolled in six or more credit hours at a Georgia public college, university or technical college;
- Be enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree;
- Must not have previously earned a Baccalaureate Degree.
- Be in compliance with Selective Service registration requirements;
- Be in compliance with the Georgia Drug-Free Postsecondary Education Act of 1990, O.C.G.A. §20-1-20, et seq.;
- Not be in default or owe a refund on a student financial aid program;
Georgia Residency
Georgia residency, for purposes of the DREAMS Scholarship program, is determined by the eligible college or university. Documentation proving Georgia residency may be required by the college or university.
- For students attending an institution in the University System of Georgia, residency determination is based on USG Board of Regents policy.
- For students attending an institution in the Technical College System of Georgia, residency determination is based on TCSG policy.
