Eligibility for the University of North Georgia ROTC Grant and the ROTC Grant for Future Officers
To be eligible for the UNG ROTC Grant and the ROTC Grant for Future Officers, you must:
- Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at the UNG as a degree seeking student;
- Fully participate in the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) at the UNG;
- Be a U.S. citizen or national of the U.S. or have evidence from United States Immigration and Naturalization Service of eligible permanent resident alien status;
- Be a legal resident of Georgia;
- Meet federal Selective Service registration requirements, per Georgia state law. The requirement to register applies to males who were born on or after January 1, 1960, are at least 18, are citizens or eligible non-citizens who came to the United States prior to age 26;
- Meet the Eligible Postsecondary Institution’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy;
- Not be in default or owe a refund on a student financial aid program;
- Be in compliance with the Georgia Drug-Free Postsecondary Education Act of 1990.
